We're both in love with a sexy lady with an eye thats lazy

You know that friend Friday thing another blogger does? Well I'm playing. Sort of :)

Top 5 favorite books. This is hard. My list changes through out my life. At this exact moment. In no particular order. They seem so OBVIOUS but maybe they are obvious because they are awesome?

1. Matilda by Roald Dahl
2. To Kill a Mocking Bird by Harper Lee
3. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn By Betty Smith
4. The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
5. A Catcher in the Rye by J D Salinger

Two that just quite didn't make the list but should be like 5 b and 5 c
The Roald Dahl Omnibus and Welcome to the Monkey House by Kurt Vonnegut. Both are books of short stories that I read over and over and over and over.

6 would be "anything by William S Burroughs, even the weird shit"

Last 5 books I read. When I get it from the library I have a much more lax tolerance level for "good". If I pay I want it to be amazing.

Girls in White Dresses. eh. Library book
Book 4 in the Vampire Academy series. Library book
Night Circus. Slow but great.
Sweet Little Lies by Lauren Conrad. Library book
Don't Look Down. Library book

Someone is the smartest kitten in the world. She knocked over the couch cushions that were next to couch and she set up a fort in front of the radiator.
(yes there is a pile of computers next to the couch. Dating back to 1997)

Someone is the smartest kitten in the world. She knocked over the couch cushions that were next to couch and she set up a fort in front of the radiator. Why aren't the cushions on the couch? Because our couch sucks. We only bought it like 3 or 4 years ago and it is a piece of crap. I've been complaining about it for a few years now. We have all these photoshopped pics and pics of us trying out new couches.

We actually just ordered a new one. It won't be in until after Christmas. We have been planning on it for months and had a quote all printed up and were going to wait but we are playing the odds. Jordan's furniture has a thing if you buy a couch in the month of October and the Bruins win the championship next year you get your money back. We planned to get it by Christmas so we went for it and did it now before the deal was up. The Bruins aren't #1 right  now but... if they do win. We win!

We are going to put this couch in the guest room because it is actually a sofa bed.

Anyone who knows me from anything other than my website know my online persona as Miss Matilda. It's my twitter, flickr, instagram, old blog.. everything. (I used to be Angry Candy before that in the 90's) It's actually what my mom has me under on her phone. I am such a rule follower I always give my real name for things but yesterday I was feeling plucky (hey I never said I was badass. I am SO lame.) and I said Matilda when they asked at Starbucks. Totally stupid but made me laugh. (Thanks Becky! I used my gift card!)

Any plans for this weekend?
We are going to a craft fair. Other than that Dave is studying. His first exam is in just a little over 2 weeks.

Fave 5 books?

Ooooh, I'm listening to The Night Circus now when I work out. It is a little slow, but I can tolerate that in an audiobook.

My Starbucks name is "Molly." There is no way I want to deal with "Kasmira" in a loud, crowded situation. I go by Molly at Panera, too.

good luck to dave on his exam! (or do you say "break a leg" like in the theater?)

we have a pretty low-key weekend, for once. dinner with hubbys family tomorrow, maybe a farmers market in the morning. i have lotsa cleaning/tidying to do, which i have been putting off for weeks.
sunday, i MAY run a 5K (and by run, i mean run/walk intervals). it will be my first one ever. hubby has soccer, and hopefully the rest of the day will be spent vegetating. especially since i have some sort of icky cold/allergies annoying me this week.
we also want to visit our friends new little baby (assuming im not still sick) and i still need to plan meals for the week and go grocery shopping.

hrm...suddenly my weekend sounds busy!

I like Matilda, so it's a good Starbucks code name. On a related note, I like how it looks like it says "Rum" at the bottom, lol. I know it doesn't, but still.

Nothing exciting planned for the weekend. My car needs new tires, so I'm trying to keep it low key (I won't buy nothing I'm sure, but I'm trying really hard!)

I had an alter ego growing up, Kaitrin Janelle Jenkins. Yes, I invented a middle name, I was pretty hard core. I also used to give boys my old phone number when being my alias. I'm pretty sure I'll end up naming a daughter, should I have one, after my alias.

I thought Dave was done school! Or is this licensing exams? It just never ends for the poor boy!

And finally, I loved Plath's The Bell Jar. I read it in my fourth year of university over Christmas break, and while it certainly dulled down the Christmas cheer, I raved about it the next term, when I was taking American Literature, and ended up getting bonus marks.

@cara licensing. He has to do 9(?) of these. one at a time. They cost too. If the fails one he has to wait 6 months to retake it. We are hoping he is done in a year.

@cassykins dave though it said plum it say pwm which looks like rum or plum honestly.

Catcher in the Rye is my favorite book ever!! I always tell the coffee people Jack...with a name like Randi, I tend to get funny looks...but then again I also get strange looks when I say Jack because I am a girl...ahh!

Kitty toes! Cats are crafty little buggers. My mom's just pesters us until we turn on the heater, then they circle and kitty-loaf around it.

Your name-story made me smile. I used to eat dinner at this place where my grandmother got a discount and they always asked my name to be called for the dessert I ordered. I came up with something different everytime.

My plans are to hit Goodwill's 50% off day on Saturday, go with my mom to Red Lobster for her birthday, and spend some time with the cats since it's been over a week since I've seen them. Oh and find some good crockpot recipes since we just got a new one that actually works.

It was my anniversary this week so there will be some kind of sneaking away from the children for that. There is also a gymnastics birthday party in my near future. And I hope, a cocktail. Maybe one day you will come home and Waffle will have built herself a small condo. Like a Barbie townhouse for cats (complete with elevator). Have a good weekend.
