I have had this thick dark grey flannel like material skirt from Target for a few years. It doesn't get nearly enough love. Until recently I honestly had a hard time wearing grey. I didn't know what to do with it. Now I realize what a wonderful shade it is. I like it so much I wore versions of the color on my nails, ears and legs too! I forgot to take a picture of it but I wore this fabulous navy blazer over this that Dave surprised me with. He went to Target for Halloween candy and came home with this neat coat/sweatshirt thing and said "you said you are always cold lately I thought this would help" I loved it so much I wore it 3 out of 5 days last week. The pictures are dark but I wore grey leggings and burgundy boots because I have to have my black ones resoled. Only a few months of wear and I went through the heel! I am so hard on my heels.

Aren't these earrings cute? Birthday present. Grey flowers a neat twist on the usual. I got a matching necklace to but it needs to be redone a little. Darn thing won't lay flat on my neck. Kept flipping and it is rather large piece.

This ring is over the top and I admit I took it off a few times during the day but for the most part I wore it most the day. It seems like it would be annoying but really it isn't bad. The way you move you hand to type it doesn't get in the way.

My boots are Clarks from 2005ish
Skirt Target 2007
Leggings Gap 2007
Shirt Target 2010
Earrings watch gift
Ring H&M although that one above looks nearly identical.
Necklace and watch those are the same ones as mine, both also birthday presents.
Cami Forever 21
That is my polish and eyeshadow though. The shadow is "get figgy" and it's a dark burgundy color. Matched the boots and Waffle's first name was figgy or figlet. That's what they called her but we knew she'd be Waffle before she was born we just didn't know which one we were getting the first 4 weeks or so, so they nicknamed them all.

This was what I wore on Friday. We went to a craft fair after work. Got a present for my dad he probably won't like but is pretty kick ass. Something for my sister in law too. We are going to do Christmas super low key this year. New student loans are a BITCH. (Mine weren't bad. luckily! I had a scholarship. If we had two bad ones I can't imagine) We also have an unplanned vacation coming up. Opportunity we couldn't pass up! Hint I get to play trophy wife, again. (more like token wife since no one else is married that is going) and that darn couch! (I want it already! I want a couch that doesn't make my legs fall asleep)

I have this exact skirt from target and I think I've worn it twice... You reminded me I need to break it out much more often!

I love your butterfly print top! I think grey is a beautiful color on you, it makes your eyes look super green.

Yipes on the student loans. I'm trying really hard not to think about next semester. We're signing up for classes next week (or at least we should be), and then the semester after that we're looking at transferring.

I always like it when you wear that pretty butterfly shirt.

I didn't think it was possible but I do think your dark hair may make your eyes look even MORE green. :)
Super cute earrings. I enjoy a delicate earring. So girly.

We don't have student loans (yet), but this whole "unemployed" thing means we're going low-key for presents, this year, too! I'm currently trying to recreate a tutu I saw in a children's store for my niece for 1/10th of the price. Turns out tutus are little harder to make than I thought... so much static cling!!

i am so hard on my heels too - i feel like i'm constantly getting the soles or heel caps redone.

i love the skirt in this outfit - i can imagine you pairing it with so many things, it seems so versatile! and you know, typically i don't like butter fly things (mariah carey totally ruined it for me i think) i am digging your shirt and ring. go figure :)

Michelle YES it feels so cheap. Along with anything looney toons characters. I have had such a hang up on it. This shirt is actually over a year old and I only just took the tags off it because of that stigma I have. But then I got two dress shirts earlier this year and the inside of the cuff had butterflies in it and it just felt sweet and I kinda liked it and it took some of that "mall store" crap feeling away from it.

I'm wearing that exact same Target skirt today at work! It gets a lot of wear from me once the colder weather comes. And I think I have the same Essie Cocktail Bling nail polish too. You have great taste. :)
