I gotta be honest. I've taken outfit photos for the blog. Then I deleted them. Dude you can't win them all and that is something I struggle with daily. But I am learning. Deleting them was a big step for me. Usually I'd keep them and keep looking at them and picking them apart. Plus this isn't a fashion blog I just sometimes post that more than life.
And life has been lots of fun when it hasn't been an asshole. I have lot of fun pics from the last week or so to share.
What I wore on my birthday.
I wasn't feeling my best that day. I decided to wear some of my favorite things to try and counteract that. The coat and boots. I didn't like the result. That happens when I pick at the last screaming second. I had a long cardigan on too.
Coat Antropologie clearance like 4 years ago. I call it my Lemony Snickett coat. I totally shrunk it a few weeks ago. I thought I might have and then seeing the sleeves and now I know I did.
Boots Marc Jacobs
My mom saw these pics and said I needed more sleep. She was 135% right. OY.
For my birthday I treated myself to getting my hair colored professionally. It looks nice but I do a better job honestly. I styled it here. I also did a better job at that then the professional did too. It is really hard to dye your own hair when it is this long or thick. She did it in a third the time I do. She also had to clean the mess. I took some fresh from salon pics and it wasn't ME, again deleted them. I hadn't dyed in a salon in a year. Last time I colored it was in March, it was dark brown just like this. It had just faded a lot in the past 7 months. When you change something (in my mind if was refreshing since it was the exact same as it was a few months ago. I'd just been lazy) it apparently gives people an open invitation to say WHAT EVER IS ON THEIR MIND. If you don't like it. Keep it to yourself. It is done, I can't undo it. Just bite your lip. Someone was quite rude this morning. I was uncomfortable and too professional to say "how rude!"
(I don't think they meant to be honestly)
PS do you use drop box? It is a small app you can put on your phone and/or your computer and it adds a folder to your desktop where you can drag and drop files. You can access them anywhere you have an Internet connection. It is great because you get two gigs to start. You can create public folder to easily share things with others too. My in laws and I shared a ton of photos that way. No uploading and all that. Drop them on the folder and BAM I can see them on my phone. I wasn't asked to post by Dropbox. I just think it is so kick ass I wanted to share. If you are interested send me an email and I can invite you. When you invite people you get a little bit more space. Some of my father in law's photos from my birthday
I just noticed we are sitting alike. I am my father's child sometimes. We are only 20 years apart, sometimes we are too much alike. ha. headbutt.
See I smile!
Two weeks ago we met them for lunch and went and walked on the beach. (Think Dave looks like his fam?)
It was wild having my feet in the ocean at the end of September and it not being cold. It was quite warm for New England actually. (then this past weekend it was 87 degrees on October 9th. INSANITY)
I have more pics from this weekend but the post was already long enough ;)
