Channeling my inner Suzy hardcore today. Peasant blouse, ton of bangles, lots of eyeliner and messy hair. Totally my mom's style. If you don't hear the jingle of her bangles before she enters the room there is a problem.
I always avoided the loose silhouette for years. Mostly because (this is vain) they don't photograph well. I think they look great in person though and have been told as much. (oy I annoyed myself there) But static photos can't catch the movement and shapes of the person at all.
Got a haircut this weekend and installed my new feathered friend. I know there are a lot of people pretty outspoken about how much they don't like them. (Ke$ha being one of the reasons) You know what? I love it. LOVE it. It hides most the time too. Easy way to change it up without dying your hair and it lasts until it grows out then you can put it back in! I haven't put the second one in yet but I will tonight. I wanted to see how this one washed before I did it. The other one is lavender and brown.
I didn't take a good hair pic after I got it cut but here is cellphone pic from when I left the salon.
Cut a couple inches, added lot of layer, changed my bangs slightly and took a lot of the weight out of it with thinning shears.
For makeup today I went with peach and brown to match the shirt and shoes.
Orange shoes (they photographed more red but they are much more orange in person)
Bangles H&M and Alex and Ani (2011) (if you are interested. Clover is for my Pop and my Irish heritage, nautical for mine and Dave's beach tie (married and met at one), crab is Dave's sign, the symbol is for Strength | Motivation | Knowledge. The star, silver and beaded ones were a gift from Lucky magazine)
