Camera Roll-2060

Channeling my inner Suzy hardcore today. Peasant blouse, ton of bangles, lots of eyeliner and messy hair. Totally my mom's style. If you don't hear the jingle of her bangles before she enters the room there is a problem.

I always avoided the loose silhouette for years. Mostly because (this is vain) they don't photograph well. I think they look great in person though and have been told as much. (oy I annoyed myself there) But static photos can't catch the movement and shapes of the person at all.

Got a haircut this weekend and installed my new feathered friend. I know there are a lot of people pretty outspoken about how much they don't like them. (Ke$ha being one of the reasons) You know what? I love it. LOVE it. It hides most the time too. Easy way to change it up without dying your hair and it lasts until it grows out then you can put it back in! I haven't put the second one in yet but I will tonight. I wanted to see how this one washed before I did it. The other one is lavender and brown.

I didn't take a good hair pic after I got it cut but here is cellphone pic from when I left the salon.

hair cut

Cut a couple inches, added lot of layer, changed my bangs slightly and took a lot of the weight out of it with thinning shears.

For makeup today I went with peach and brown to match the shirt and shoes.

Orange shoes (they photographed more red but they are much more orange in person)

Clover is for my Pop and my Irish heritage, nautical for mine and Dave's beach tie (married and met at one), crab is Dave's sign, the symbol is for Strength | Motivation | Knowledge. The star, silver and beaded ones were a gift from Lucky magazine)
Necklace Avon (2007)
Shoes Gap (2008?)
7 For all Mankind jeans 2011
Shirt H&M 2011
Cami H&M 2008

There is nothing I don't love about this. Love the hair feather (I'm tempted...), love the shoes, love the bangles, love the owl...you just nailed it.

Oh I love the hair feather! They are kind of feminine AND badass at the same time. Very awesome.

Ill ask dave he installed one tonight. It washes like hair I've even flatiroRned it. It is just attached to like 10 strands of hair and I brushed it and washed no problem so far. It's a tiny tiny clump of hair and the feathers are bundled and you slide a little ring over it that's iined in silicone and pinch it closed.

You'll have to do an indepth review/how-to of the feather extensions. I can't imagine washing or brushing my hair with one in!! However, I love the small but powerful punch it has!

I like the feather a lot, actually. I've only been on facebook about a month now and have already seen people posting rants about how people don't need feathers in their hair and blah blah. There are a lot of things people don't NEED to do, but whatever. I think it's cute. Btw - thanks for that link! Not that you intended it, but one of the recent posts she did was wedding makeup which I am in need of inspiration for anyway!

I think they'd look cute in the length you have now. Just trim it and hide it
Under the top layer.

I know what you mean, my outfit yesterday was like that. Great in motion, odd in static photo. I rather like your outfit. The bangles and orange flats are great.

I also really like the feather. I wish my hair was longer, I'd love a neutral colored pheasant feather. Especially since I managed to wreck my DIY feathered headband.

I lovelovelove your makeup. It's simple but lovely. Browns and pinks.

I don't think this photographed bad, the type of shirt usually does. I like this thankfully

LOVE the hair AND the make-up. And that feather is awesome. If my hair were still long, I'd totally do that.
