Camera Roll-2210

Nothing about my outfit is particularly 70's other than the belt and myself that were made in the 70's but for some reason that is the feeling I got from the outfit. I wasn't thrilled with the photos so I thought I'd "age" them. By that I mean I hate I was lazy and used the iPhone instead of one of my multiple cameras so I used picnik to try and fuss it up some. But that said I loved the outfit. I felt comfortable and office appropriate. I also wore a brown cord blazer with my cuffs rolled up. Totally forgot to take a pic of that. But I did get some details.

Shirt Clearance rack of Target this week. So if you like it, it was wicked cheap!
Cami H&M
Jeans Seven for all Mankind
Bracelets, Tiffanys, H&M, Pandora
Earrings Forever 21
Belt My dad had given it to my pop in 1978.
Shoes Bass "Matilda"

pink and brown bass oxfords
detail?

For makeup I did a bronze eyewing and pink blush, clear gloss. unfussy.

makeup?

Speaking of 70's pop fashions. (Honestly I have no idea when they coat is from. It APPEARS to be 60's.) Pop always dressed for the occasion and Saturdays they went dancing and Pop and Gram both bought London Fog trench coats and both labeled them so when they went dancing in the coat room of other trench coats they knew theirs. I finally got Dave to wear pop's. I don't know why he was holding out look how friggin sharp he looks in it! He was waiting for me on a corner and I yelled "hey look up", he just always looks this cute I guess. He is totally the cute on the relationship. I firmly hold funny one status. Proudly.

Any plans for the weekend?
We are going to see Bridesmaids and lunch with Dave's sister and mom tomorrow. It is going to be fun having my sister in law in the same part of the country as me next month. We have never lived in the same region of the country at the same time in the 15 years I knew her. Briefly for 2 months one summer but that hardly counts. It was more "staying" than living.

That is EXACTLY when I put my fingers in my ears. "Oh please just stop talking!" LOVE Melissa McCarthy (Megan) in it, and since I remember buying a freakin' cassette SINGLE of that Wilson Phillips song for my high school bf ... yeah, that made me laugh. :)

I loved it. The part at the shower? oh man I wanted to hug her and tell her to shut the fuck up.

The trench is a classic, your husband looks great! Love your florals, too -- I am so glad it's finally warming up enough where I am to wear some lighter, springier clothes.

BTW, did you like Bridesmaids? I really liked it, although I actually put my fingers in my ears at one point because the main character was embarrassing herself so completely -- it was like when you watch a horror movie through your fingers.

Dave looks SO snazzy in that trench coat!! I think there's nothing like a good basic Bogart-esque trench on a guy. ;-) And I should thank you--I got those shoes, in the red/pink colorway, and I LOVE them!!! So comfortable and cute!!! I have that exact shirt too and I think *lightbulb* that they would be terrific together. You look gorgeous in that lovely floral--so perfect with your coloring! Funny how Target promotes the heck out of their "designer collabs" but oftentimes I am far more impressed with the colors, fabrics and workmanship of their own house brands...!

I totally see the 70s vibe you're getting from this outfit. I love it! And you're right, Dave looks darn sharp!

Yeah, I think if it works better for you, no reason to change things around. I got a number of emails from people who couldn't comment no matter what. I haven't had any issues with people or spam(yet) so I'm sticking to Ye Olde Blogger Default for now.

Haha! Well lucky you. For me it's 3% listening, 97% dead to the world.

15 years you'd think he KNEW. I joke because he does listen for oh 97% of his life but those 3% man, wooo.

I love your outfit. It has a bunch of elements (mostly the florals) that I would normally not care for, but some how each piece works so well together. I can imagine the cord jacket polished the look off perfectly.  I freaking love that belt!

The trench looks great on him. Poopoo on him for not wearing it sooner. He'll learn eventually that you know what you're talking about. Jon finally is, to the point where he no longer wants "Mom's" opinion and comes to me for fashion-y advice.

Mom and I are going to see the 4th Pirates of the C movie. It's on her, so free movie!

That is good to know because I don't know it unless someone tells me because I don't comment on my own post. (I use the moderator thing)

Naming post that is interesting I will have to remember that. I have only had disqus break once on me where it wasn't loading and I was having far too many problems with blogger. Also I can block assholes so it really is a tradeoff for me at least.

Re the disqus thing: The opening to a new page seems to be a blogger-comment thing. I know Sheila of Ephemera's does it. I have to re-open her post to read over it again and comment. Kasmira's does the 'open in a tiny window', which isn't as annoying since I can still see her post at the same time.

Disqus won't open at all for me if you don't name your posts. Keely (of Casual Chic Kiki) occasionally doesn't name her's, and I can go to her front page, but when I try to click 'comment' it just blinks the loading bar at me and I can't open the page. I haven't had many issues on your site.. the only thing is I'll occasionally have to refresh a couple times for Disqus to load.

From Bass of course. These aren't the regular saddle shoes. Those are about $40 cheaper which is insane they charged so much for flower. they are the Matilda line by Antoff. They are so comfy though.
