Yesterday I saw this photo of Michelle Obama on CocoPerez. I said HEY I have that dress but it doesn't have sleeves. The article said her stylist added sleeves to it. (I want it with sleeves! I never wear sleeveless without a cover up) You can see more about it here.

Dress H&M
Boots and Ring and earrings Marc by Marc Jacobs
Hoodie Target (yup same one as yesterday)
Necklace Mark by Avon
Turtleneck H&M
Leggings Target
I was standing off to the side because there was a student working just around the corner and I didn't want her to see me. It feels silly at 8 in the morning posing in 15 second increments on the silent floor.
I realized today that my grommets on my boots mimic the polka dot dress. (Dave H. THEY ARE A DESIGN DETAIL not laces holes. shush)

Wearing this ring again.

Necklace You can also see the polka dots are overlapping cream and blue on black.

What are you plans for the weekend?
I don't have any so far. Oh wait tonight I am going to an appointment at MAC for the Wonder Woman collection! I am dragging Dave along so we can have dinner near by. Anyone celebrating Valentines this weekend instead of Monday? I let Dave buy his own present because he is fussy about things sometimes. I told him what I wanted to get him and the budget. When it comes to presents I am so easy going but he likes what he likes. Funnily I had randomly looked for models of mirco helicopters and sent them to him and he kinda laughed because I don't think he even really looked at them. He ended up buying the kind I had sent. BOOYA see I am a good googler!
Valentine's day in 1999 Dave packed up his belonging and put his car on a train and moved cross country to be with me. I can't believe we've lived together 12 years! He was 19 and I was 20 at the time. Best decision we ever made. This was back before we had cellphones and good long distance. Our rent was cheaper than our phonebills from 96-99!!

Just got soooo excited by your comment on my post! BLOG CRUSH. (Failed Muffins)
Great nail varnish and I love that dress .. I like without the sleeves!
Sal xXx
I would love to see Mrs. O wearing something I own. Kudos to you for being so awesomely fashionable.
This weekend I will be studying. I've got 10 days left before the bar (I'm writing this on Saturday). So its really down to the wire. I'm also hoping on cooking some, maybe planting some seeds and hanging with the Fiance. So a normal weekend except that I'm spending a whole big chunk of it studying. :/
I'm not sure when we're doing V-day. I know what I'm wearing, but no idea what we're doing. Maybe next Friday?
Love the dress AND the nail color...really, really love the nails..
Awesome! Ever more awesome I bought one thing today on a shopping extravaganza... it was this dress!
I like the dress with & w/o the sleeves. Regardless, it's cute on you.
Good luck with the Wonder Woman collection. I've read really mixed reviews on it - esp on the eyeshadow palettes. Some reviews say poor color payoff, which is strange for MAC.
Have a great V-day! We don't really do much, maybe steaks at home or something. I ruined V-day when we were dating. I was this super anti-consumerism sufer, bohemian chic at 20 when I met my husband and I lectured him about not buying me anything, which he did anyway and then I lectured him again. So stupid when we're 20! Now he refuses to buy me presents for recognized holidays and will only buy me stuff when a holiday is not around. I don't remember it, but I guess it was one hell of a lecture!
I like both your dress and Michelle's. Clearly great minds think alike when it comes to style.
We're doing Valentines this weekend since we both have to work on Monday and I have a parent meeting. We're just planning to do dinner out and a movie.
I hope you and Dave have an awesome Valentines and fill us in if you find anything good at MAC.
awww lucky. I'd love to spend valytimes with my gram. She is in FL right now though. :(
copy away! I copied someone the first time I did it too! (my friend Becky. She gets full credit for the idea)
I can not believe it will be 15 years this summer! Time flies when youre in love as you well know:)
Super cute print. I love the necklace with it too. I like the dress with and without sleeves.
Congrats on so many years together! I moved in with the Hubs on my 18th bday, and it was one of the happiest days of my life. I still remember waking up the next morning and he was so happy. D'aww it's been over 3 years since then. We have no definitive Vday plans as of yet. We're thinking of spending a night in Nashville and doing an art crawl (required for school reasons, but we want to make it fun) and eating somewhere fancy-smancy the next day.
I LOVE the way you pair dresses with hoodies! I am sooo going to copy you :)
it is intentional because I have shorter layers in the front so when I push it all back it has kinda an angle down on either side towards the middle of my back
mine is totally damage. I had to see a few specialist because some of it was questionable. have you ever seen your skin under one of those lights that show damage? its freighting. I do dress very modestly and always have. I am just insecure honestly and since I hit my thirties I noticed I did veer more towards classicy stuff and less trendy. I love them but feel I am "too old" for them. I've done outfit photos since 2006 and you can totally see how I progress and start going to simpler things. My work place dictated some of that too. i used to work at a progressive jazz music school.
Congrats to you and Dave. You are the best couple, so lucky to have each other.
I can't believe you read my mind about your boots. Wait, maybe I can. I like the shape of your hair as it falls down your back. Planned or cut that way?
My plans this weekend involve a pub crawl and nursing a hangover.
I'm all freckly on my chest and shoulders. I never really thought of it as sun damage, but I guess it really did come from years of lobsterfying growing up. I also think of sleeves as a little classier. From what I've seen you post, you usually have a classy yet fashionable approach to dressing. I go for a little more trendy and a little more... I don't want to say trashy here, but you'll have to think of your own synonym, lol
I have a LOT OF sun damage on my arms (see freckles) and it looks like I am wearing a shirt with sleeves even when I am not. So I am INSANELY self conscious about sleeveless and never ever do it but once a year.
I actually like the dress without the sleeves, though I understand why one might want them. I'm a sleeveless sorta gal. It might be in part to having spent to much on my tattoos that I welcome the opportunity to show off my investment.
Definitely doing Valentines Day on Sunday instead of Monday. I work from 8am-6pm on Mondays and afterward I usually don't want to do more than pop into Subway and get my happy butt home. I don't think we're going to do anything fancy. I'll bake for him, he'll get me flowers and we'll go to dinner somewhere. The usual.
The Wonder Woman Collection !!!!! WOW how exciting... I have banned my self from any make up shopping for now.
I am spending Valentines with my grandmother, my h is going on a business trip so I will just slip him a card in his suitcase.
By differently you mean not befriending the excon and letting her use out Blockbuster accounts?
I can't get over how down to earth yet fashionable Michelle Obama's style is (which makes you, by default, down to earth and fashionable). I really can't believe it's been 12 years, they have gone by so quickly, but I would do it all again. Maybe a bit differently but you would still be there.
I did it today! I love the girly/comfy feeling it gives to wear a chiffon dress with a cotton hoodie. New fav outfit!
