And das gonna make me dance
I HATE the lighting in the stacks. Even potatoshop can't save it. Nothing beats natural light. My outfit? I thought it was so nice I've worn it twice.
Skirt and Sweater NY&Co 2008
Turtleneck Target 2011
Belt 2009 Target
Sweater Tights Loft 2009
Boots Clarks 2008(7?)
Necklace Banana Republic 2008
Earrings I made them in 2009?
I can't take a pic in an aisle and top touch the books. Instinct. Which is weird because I don't EVER need to be in the stacks the past 5 years.
I felt like my outfit had enough to say I kept my makeup really simple. I just did an eyewing with blue brown pigment by MAC. It is a duochrome that looks blue or brown and it takes on some green when you wet it as I did. The shimmer in it reminds me of a shimmery dragon. Man I haven't seen Pete's Dragon in a million years. I used to have the record. I know everyone and their mama is talking about Lady Gaga's new song and it's alarming similarity to Express Yourself by Madonna. I have been a Madonna fan since her every first song when I was 5. My cousin was 14, my mom 24 and they both asbolutly loved her and so I am lucky I have loved her since the very start. Dave and I got to see Madonna in 2006 and it was EPIC. Anyways. So I know I am getting on in years and that time seems to slip away but I YouTubed Express Yourself so I could compare and played it at the same time as Lady Gaga's song. There is no denying how alike they are but the point of this inane banter... Did you know Express Yourself was 22 YEARS AGO??? I don't know how that is possible I remember when it came out and would be on the MTV top 20. Dude 22 years??? That's older than some bloggers I love. 22? gah. I need to step up my lying about my age. What you think should I go by 25 now? I had been saying 23 but I had to get older eventually right? 25 is good because my baby cousin is about to turn 24 and I can't be younger than him or people would start to notice.
Any musicians that you have been a fan of your whole life?
Some others that come to mind other than Madonna is The Doors and John Mellencamp(Cougar)(Cougar Mellencamp), Otis Redding and Van Morrison. My parents are only 19 and 20 years older than me so I totally listened to what they were listening to. I was like a parlor trick my dad would tell his friends to ask 6 year old me what my favorite song was. (First it was Sitting on the Dock of the Bay than later when I was 8 it was Paint it black by the Rolling Stones) I don't know what it would be today..... if I HAD to say, gun, head situation probably Down by the River by the Sugar Plant by M.Doughty (yup M. I want to make his eye twitch)
