We are who we are

We are predicted for extreme rain today. I went with my favorite loose chiffon shirt and red cami combo (I own a large number of red and white and black and white polka dot shirts. I mean LOTS) Whenever I wear a button up shirt I always wear something under it and only button like 3 buttons. Fellow Chesty LaRue ladies do you do that too? I like how it looks but do miss the definition.

I love this little jacket too. It's a jersey material but it is lined and it comes to little point in the front and have a very nice nip in the waist. I every time I raised my arm the jacket opened and you couldn't see the nice structure so my solution was to hold it. DUH I could of buttoned it. I realize now AFTER I had coffee.

You know my blog header? My husband made it from a photo of me twirling in an alley by our house. (He changed the shoes. I had on black sandals) and he added the balloon because I said how it looks like I should have one. Fast forward a year and I happened upon this on Etsy.

It even has a cat. It was meant for me to own it.

Lots of bracelets again

Since Dave and I went to unlimited text we text each a TON of pictures. He had to leave before I finished my makeup today and he LOVES an eye swoop so this is photo I sent him of my GLITTER SWOOP. I look a bit silly expression wise but look at my swoop! I did it first it brown then lightly went over it with glitter liquid liner. (please excuse my terrible bathroom lighting.)

What is your default outfit?

Mine is definitely one of my numerous polka dot shirts, a cami, a blazer and nice jeans and lots of silver jewelry. I know when I haven't planned on an outfit I can pull the elements and feel pulled together. Since I have multiples of all of them I know can mix it up a little too so it isn't always the exact same outfit.

Yeah, I definitely don't button all the way on most of my button-down shirts (they pull across the boobage).

Love that necklace - so perfect!

I love this outfit on you! I have the hardest time finding button upps thanks to the goods mother nature gave me (or rather my mom).

It's gross here too. I wore jeans to work today for the first time in ages (so I wouldn't get my nice black trousers wet), we have casual Friday and I guess I could wear jeans during the week if I really wanted to but I never do for some reason.

Happy Architecture Gradumacation! I am tempted to go back and finish myself but I think DH would kill me and from your stories of your own hubs, I'm not sure I want to go through all that stuff again!

Jeweled thumb. Yes it is a long tough road and sadly not many do graduate. He started with 160 people and there are 8 of them left and not all 8 are going to pass this semester. We saw a LOT of relationships break up too and breakdowns. (my sil said med school was the same way) we knew a few people who were SO CLOSE and quit. Dave would of quit if I wasn't so damn pushy. ;)

I don't button all the way either, I'd be busting out! My default would have to be leggings, a tunic, boots and a big scarf!

Nope, I don't button all the way either. I leave the bottom few buttons undone, then right up tno the bottom of the boobage, then leave the cleavage open. According to What Not To Wear (the UK version) this helps define a wobbly middle.

As for a default - bootcut dark rinse jeans, a fitted scoopneck tee, and a scarf. And my red patent Danskos. I'm a stay-home mum, so I go for comfort + panache. (And I'm working on including makeup everyday. I am wearing eyeliner today for the first time in AGES! Olive green, which looks nice against my dark lashes and eyes)

love the glitter liner...your makeup always looks fantastic.
My default outfit would be a dress, tights, boots and a cardi...comfy but pulled together.

I love when I see you on the blog before I see you in person. Too much I say! My go to outfit would be jeans or cords, black boots, random shirt and blazer. I do not have the busty la rue problem, but i sympathize as many of my girlfriends have taken me on their hunt for proper bras that fit them in the malls...so hard!!! A size E that doesn't look like an old-school girdle is hard to find...

Love that necklace! It's like it was made for you.

I tend to do the same thing, but more out of feeling 'confined' in button-ups.

Not sure I have a go-to outfit. I guess my favorite is a dress + belt + seasonally appropriate shoes. I really like to change it up though.

I *love* the way you wear red; that blouse is gorgeous!
My default outfit is not as colorful: black turtleneck, black cropped skinny pants, and whatever shoes strikes the mood. I know, boring, but it still makes me look good.
Yes, I am wearing my default outfit on my comment pic :P

Thanks for the tip on Etsy's tattoo necklaces. I ordered one for my son's girlfriend and Erin is making it custom just for her! Love reading your blog!

Can I ask what glitter liner you have on (and do you like it)? I was looking at glitter liquid liners at Sephora a couple days ago (I really want one for holiday parties) but they were all goopy and dried up so testing them was useless to me and I didn't buy any.

P.S. I do the same thing as you when I wear button-ups most of the time. There are companies that make buttonups for busty ladies (Bravissimo, AJ Rumina) but the styles aren't as fun - I don't recall ever seeing a red polka dot one.

You look so pretty! Red is such a great color on you!

And oh my, that necklace IS perfection! I was floored when I saw the picture! So cool.

I don't really have a default outfit. I should find one. Maybe that'll make my life a bit easier.

Kelly it was part of the MAC limited edition hello kitty line. I don't think they made the glitter liner liquid part of the permanent cOllectiOn. But I do know they have amazing shimmer liner in the winter line in pencil form. I would suggest Mark metallic liquid liner in bronze. I tweeted a pic for you (I'm on my phone) if you have any glitter eyeshadows I'd use that with a wet brush. Mac has some glitter pigments that I've neve tried but would work perfect. I'm obsessed with their regular pigments. I use them for a ton of things.

Thank you! That shimmer is really pretty. Too bad they didn't make glitter permanent! Now, to convince Erik we have to go to the mall tonight...

My go to is a cardigan over a bright tank with pants or jeans. I'm pretty sure I go to it way too often. I really like the pieces I've seen from your collection of shirts. Makes me want to hunt some cute ones up for myself.

Another beautiful outfit, Hillary!

And I'm a fellow Chesty girl - yes... I only button the last 3 buttons of my button-down shirts.

Default outfit: loose/flowy tunic blouse or sweater. Usually in a bright colour, black or charcoal. Skinny dark denims. Tall black boots with 2 inch heels. Occasionally, either my black Gap Denim jacket tops it off or a floaty cozy cardigan.

Hi! I've been lurking on your site for a while, and am finally posting. I love your style! (Found you through Sal/Already Pretty.)

I love the shirt...polka dots, yay! And the bangles, and the glitter. :)

As a fellow busty gal, I agree...there are very few button down shirts that I can actually button all the way.

My go-to outfit is probably a dress, cardi/jacket, funky tights, and boots in the winter. Or jeans and a compfy cozy sweater, with cute socks (that no one but me sees) and cute low boots.
