Weekend roundup

My weekend? Stressful to say the least. But here are some highlights.

Friday night Waffle did a little catalog shopping. (she got mad when I tried to move it out of her way. Diva.

Catalog shopping. She is starting early.

We went to NH

We had a cookout. I had my first local corn of the year. OMG IT WAS SO GOOD. I didn't get a pic of the table before we demolished it with hunger.

Apparently we all liked it.

Speaking of corn. Waffle LOVES corn. She even knows when we are cooking it and gets all yippy. We have wanted to try and feed her corn on the cob since we got her last year. Sunday was finally the day. She was less than interested.

We put it down at about 6pm. She licked it and that was about the extent of it.

Then at 10pm all a sudden she loved it. She is an enigma wrapped in evil.

Saturday night late after gram went to bed we went out for ice cream. (YES we invited her. She didn't want to go.)

We got some kitty litter because it was on sale. SOMEONE forgot we had a trunk full. There is another 20 you can't see. When you live in a 300 sq ft apartment the trunk becomes storage for the 8349285 rolls of toilet paper and kitty litter boxes. One year I think we stored the AC in there.

Umm that's a lot of litter there is 20lbs more you can't see

Oh and he got some sneakers too. FOURTEEN years I have tried to get him to buy Converse. 14! He had a pair when we met and they blew up right after we met and I have tried and pleaded and begged for 14 years for him to replace them with a new pair. He picked these out with NO help from me. I was shocked and proud and I might of shed a tear.

He actually wore them to work today. HE LOOKS SO CUTE. Dave was a Catholic school kid. It took 10 years to get him into a pair of jeans I thought the one stars would be at least another 10.

A small PS.
I entered a contest.

I apologize but I am going to shamelessly plug that I am in the Mad Men Casting Call contest and you can vote once per day until September. I WANT TO WIN. It takes two clicks. One on the link. (which I also put in the top right sidebar of my blog) and another click on the "vote" button below my photo.

So please vote early and often.

Thanks you all so much in advance

I voted! Thanks for the reminder!

I'm sorry your weekend was stressful. But cats and ice cream help with that, no?

Speaking of ice cream, yours looks adorable. Scoops of ice cream can be so boring until they're dressed up!

Aww love the kitty post.

(I'm still on year six of trying to get DH into Converse. We've compromised with Tsubos ...for now.)

My cat Simone is Waffle's twin - separated at birth! Simone is a sassy French supermodel - she has the runway walk and the Naomi Campbell attitude.

Well hello Felicity's mom! There is another one who looks JUST like waffle. Her name is Fig. They even have same exclamation point on nose!

It's a uphill battle isn't it? I said to mine when he was checking out at the register "Tommy would wear those" (500 days of summer)

felicity she is pure entertainment. Daisyboo is just so subdued and mellow. Waffle is pure energy always into something.

Melissa family are put on this earth to make you feel guilty about every single decision in life down to if you tasted curry more than once. (or is it just my family?!)

clare the flavor is BUTTER CRUNCH OMG its butter with chunks of crunchy butter. butterbutterbutter

sami they even have a much neglected blog!

thanks so much everyone!
