doot do dooooooooooooo Quiz Time PENCILS UP!

Today I had the bright idea to attempt pictures in the park on the way to the T. Not a great idea. Too many people stopping and staring and too many shadows to dodge from the weird awning.

  3. I kind of like the action shots, although I HAAAATE taking of myself where people can gawk. I used to take wardrobe photos in my backyard, behind the garage. :)

    * weekends when my boyfriend visits are pretty perfect. We shop, we cook together, we eat, we do projects around the house, we go out for sushi, we go to the library book sale, we sit on the front porch and read. It's all very relaxing and happy.

    * A dog. They eat, go for walks, and sleep. Sounds good to me.

    Technical: you have a good eye for color and composition (ie orange books!?) especially when you consider you can't/don't see yourself.
    Aesthetic: you always look so pulled together in terms of a look.

    I loooove the one where you're facing the sun. Your hair is super bright and awesome. You make me want red hair back. Also I love your belt. It looks like metal (is it leather?)

    Waking up late, having breakfas-.. er, lunch. Driving around with teh Hubs and listening to music. Doing a little shopping. Cooking a tasty dinner, reading and then watching movies before crashing out.

  11. 1. Say one positive thing about my photos (haa you guys always forget about the post when I do a quiz so I GOTCHA!) - once again I am not following the rules as I have two positive things I want to say. 1. In the picture facing the sun your hair looks AMAZING. 2. I also love your belt.

    2. If you could be an animal for a day which animal would you be and why? - I've thought about this in the past and I can never come up with a satisfactory answer for myself. Sometimes I think any animal that can roam long distances and sometimes I think a small domesticated animal might be nice. I suppose it depends on the mood I'm in. Roaming animals - I'm looking for adventure. Domesticated animals - I'm wanting to relax in a serious way but also be enthusiastic about the smallest thing and not worry that someone will think I'm a crazy.

    3. Favorite baked good. - hands down it is buttertarts.

    4. Describe your favorite pair of shoes? - I recently bought a pair or leapard print heels that I love so much. They are so hot.

    The sun on your hair is just gorgeous, especially next to the blue of the sky. And as always, I like your style choices. That's why I started following your blog a few months ago!

    2. If you could be an animal for a day which animal would you be and why?

    I'm going to go with a bird because I want to be able to fly. I got a little bogged down trying to figure out which kind of bird, so let's leave it at that. Maybe some kind of macaw -- it'd be great to fly over an Amazonian rain forest.

    Wedding cake.

    My current favorites are the Dansko Rory -- mary jane heels with a bit of a platform, and the strap ties. Kind of reminescent of a 1920s style. Very comfy, too.

    At home, doing my hobbies (sewing, and photography), with breaks to walk the dog. The weather would of course be gorgeous outside!

  16. Hillary - I worked in Ipswich for 4 years, and lived in Beverly the first 2 years, Ipswich the last 2. I also grew up in NH (near Concord). But I'm more of a nature girl than city/suburb girl, so I escaped north (currently Vermont) a few years ago.
    P.S. I'm also a cat girl and love whenever waffle & daisy show up in your posts! The love of my life is Milo, a chunky, goofy, hilariously lovable smokey grey tiger...

That is how we usually spend Dave's birthdays actually. Skee ball is usually involved too.

    It may not have been an ideal fashion photo, but I really like the first one. You have a quiet, sort of pensive look on your face and the wind caught your hair in a pretty way, and the city makes a perfect backdrop. ;)

    These days it's been my cycling shoes. Is that weak? Sorry, but I've been biking A LOT this summer. They are black, suade, velcro strap closures with SPD cleats. (Prob not the answer you want, but we aren't being scored, right?)

    A long weekend, first of all. Then it should include friends, wine or beer, some sort of fun physical activity (walk, bike, hike, ski) into impossibly gorgeous places. I should also get a lot of sleep over the weekend to make me feel happier.
