Thursday I don't care about you.

Last night Dave and I went out to our longstanding Wednesday night Wagamama date. They don't even give us menus at this point. Then we stopped in the park with our McDonald's sundaes. It is so much easier to take pictures now that there is a camera on the FRONT of my phone.

While we were in the park I also took a bunch of shots for the company that made Dave's bag. They wanted to feature him on their site. They asked him to wear the hat too because they loved it. (He got it last year at target. It's 100% paper!)

why is this photo funny?

We have an AC but it is still very hot for my two furry munchkins. It's like there was a gas leak in my apt. Puddles of kittens

I have a fun outfit on today but taking a picture just didn't work out. I left much later than Dave and once I got to work it went down hill.

BUT I got to meet 2 puppies! I want one of these! They were so sweet and quiet and weighed as much as a potato. Waffle would so beat it up. This little girl's name is Alice.

Today I want you to tell me a little bit about yourself. Fun talent, favorite color? Whatever you think would be helpful for me to know to know who is reading this! Also if you have a website leave a link so I can check it out!

"puddles of kittens" has to be the cutest thing I have heard in a long time

Also - Dave's bag looks awesome!!

And now I want a McDonald's ice cream sundae. Those things are so good.

I love the kitten pictures! Kittens are the best.

And yes, isn't the front facing camera on the iPhone 4 the best? The new 5mp camera on the back makes me happy too.

So, hm, interesting info...if I could sing for a living, I would. I actually do sing with an entertainment company on the side, mostly during Christmas as a Caroler.

And website:

Did I follow all the instructions? :)

oh pish instructions. I am just neurotic at times. :P

Awwww your kittens...
My dogs are going crazy with the heat too.
Sometimes when I get home they are all wet which is the result of them being so hot they flip their water plate and roll on the water to freshen up.
Then they plain stink.

I have fifteen tattoos. That's kind of interesting, right? Well, it is if you consider that I'm working on my MA and planning to get my PhD in Sociology. Many academics have tattoos. But how many have so many?

I've always wanted to be a teacher. I would make my brother be my "student" when we were younger. Since my mother and grandmother were/are both teachers, I even had old gradebooks and workbooks! :) This year will be my 17th year as a teacher. I started teaching high school students when I was 22.

I LOVE my Boxers. I liked animals, but I didn't know how much I would love these guys.

I'm short. Seriously short, I'm only 4'10". I'm really bossy though...that helps with high school students :)

I said to myself: "Go ahead, read a couple blogs while Scott's getting ready for your date... reward yourself for being efficient... but don't get caught up in commenting... you have a reservation to make". Sigh... I never listen to myself.

Hmm... something about me? Despite being in the middle of my Master's degree in English, I haven't finished a book since April. I've only actually picked up 2... and read a couple chapters of each. I have a feeling this will be the pattern my life follows after I'm done school.

"puddles of kittens..." I think that perfectly describes how my Patches has been looking for the past week. But she did kill a mouse so that lazy look ain't fooling anyone.

About me?

I'm a young adult librarian. I have two beautiful daughters, who are 3 and 5 years old. I'll be celebrating my 15th wedding anniversary at the end of this month. I love listening to audio books and podcasts. I love vegging out in front of the TV and watch HSN and QVC.

I have a weakness for Cherry Coke Zero, less than $2 nail polishes, pork rinds, shoe stores, feminist literature/memoirs, fashion mags, beauty blogs, and buying my daughters frilly clothing.

Some would joke that my 2nd job is entering contests. I haven't won any money but I have won a lot of make-up over the past year.

I have two blogs. One is for my serious side ( and one is for my not-serious side (

We call it "puddle of cat" too! My poor kitty looks like he's got a bad case of flop-butt.

I'm 42, married (no kids by choice), a Canadian (West coast), and I can do any kind of art (drawing, painting, sculpture). My favourite colour is red. No, yellow. No, green. Purple! And orange. I don't like pink...unless it's the right shade.

I'm at: - I love visitors! :)

ooooh kitties! love.

i just went to wagamama (the new one in harvard) for the first time. i was fairly impressed.

you wanna know about ME? hmm. i am a classically trained violist who couldn't get it together to practice classical music enough to actually become a professional :P but now i play guitar and write cheesy folky love songs and such. i'm obsessed with purple and pink floyd is the best band of all time. and of course i have a cheap-ass little blog (but you knew that).

also i sell jewels on etsy under desireedesigns. or i did, before jewelry got SO HUGE that no one could find my stuff and i gave up :P

Did they open a second one in harvard square? Because the one there opened in 2007. We hit that one up often. We were at the Faneuil hall one opening day and every Wednesday after that for about four years! So nosh! Ita one of the few places with gf menu offering. Soooo good.
