How was your weekend? Any good meals?

Dave and I had a great weekend. Friday night we watched wedding shows all night on TLC and guffawed at how much girls spend on their wedding dresses and we gushed about how perfect mine was. Saturday my in laws came to town and we went out to Newton for the most amazing Thai food. We all then went to see Iron Man 2. We all loved it. I was also a crack up in it. I'd tell you what I said but I don't want to give anything away to those who haven't seen it. (Although it annoys me when people get mad something was spoiled for them. I mean COME ON don't read the internet if you are soooo desperate not to know until you can get your happy ass to see it.)
We then went to a park on the Charles and watched the sunset while we ate Mojito GF cupcakes. Sunday Dave and I went out to lunch at PF Changs and poked around some shops. I went to Marc Jacobs to check again on something for a friend and they were SOLD OUT. I felt so bad and wish last time they meant sold out forever. (MLE if you're reading this they were out of the earrings) We then went home and watched Doctor Who for hours on end.

You are rocking an Erin pose up top! Looks good on you!

Best meal of the weekend... my sweetie made me a fresh fruit and yogurt smoothie that had berries in it. It was insanely delicious.

Well, Erin is a great poser! Worth copying.

I love the blue with the blue/green. It goes swimmingly with your hair.

To be fair I did not copy her. I just realized after it looked like her.

Your weekend sounds perfect! And I love this dress.

My weekend was good - the highlight was on Saturday when I went to the zoo and saw all the adorable baby animals!

Also, I found that copper nail polish you told me about. I'm wearing it right now and I LOVE it. I happened to find it in K-mart, which was lucky because I *never* go there myself, but I took my grandma out to lunch and she wanted to stop in Kmart so I peeked at the nail polish section. I'm thinking of going back and getting another bottle just to stock up. (Also, when I was done I showed my boyfriend and he said "oohhh that's awesome!" and usually he has no opinions on nail polish)

That dress is so cute! I love it on you.

My weekend was pretty good. Friday night we celebrated Shawn's birthday with friends at our favorite pizza place (with GF pizza even!) and then a wine bar. Saturday we bathed the kitties (someone has fleas UGH) and supercleaned the house, then yesterday I watched a lot of TV off the DVR, did some laundry, went to the grocery store, and made a yummy GF lasagna!

dear fiance and i also watched the newest Dr Who episode saturday night -- im a fan of the weeping angels. :)

we had a great dinner last night -- my parents and some relatives from england came to look at our new place, so i made dinner for everyone. salad, turkey meatloaf, green beans, roasted garlic mashed taters, mashed sweet potatoes, crescent rolls, and for dessert, cherry chip cake, fresh berries, ice cream and whipped cream.
i felt so utterly domestic. :)

How are you and Dave liking the new Doctor? Also how about the new theme song?

well it's weird because we are on season 2 episode 10 AND we have been watching 5 in order as it airs. So I get a bit confused at times.

I have season 1 theme as my ringtone on my phone. I LOVE season 2 and 5 drs

I'm an admirer of that dress. I'm always on the search for the holy grail of dresses - one that works in all seasons and I can always depend on.

Your weekend sounds pretty awesome. I went home to see my parents and work on wedding related stuff, so all my meals were home-cooked and delicious. I think I got spoiled though b/c nothing I make seems good now.

I love that dress every single time!

I spent most of the weekend grading final papers, but I did have a yummy brunch on Sunday: poached eggs on jalapeƱo black bean cakes, sour dough toast, and fresh fruit.

I love the detail of the lace collar on that dress and the blue is such a perfect shade on you.

We made a steak stir fry last night that was pretty amazing. I'm talking one of the Top 10 meals we've ever cooked. Of course, I'm not that great of a cook...

Love this dress! I didnt realize it had a lacy edged collar, looks like it was hidden by your hair in previous photos.

My weekend was unremarkable, but I made a lot of sausage bread. I can't complain

That dress fits you so perfectly!

I saw Iron Man 2 this weekend, too! V. enjoyable -- in some ways I thought it was better than the first one (Mickey Rourke is a better villain!).

Best meal of the weekend -- my boyfriend got up at 5 a.m. Sunday to smoke a pork shoulder on the grill. When we finally ate around 5 it was AMAZING, sooooo good. He also made zabaglione (ok, custard, but saying it the Italian way is more fun) and fresh whipped cream with delicious blackberries. He made the custard with a great moscato (sweet dessert wine is really the only wine I like; I don't know why anyone bothers to make any other kind of wine, honestly), and it was so scrumptious and decadent (we actually ate it in bed for extra decadence).

My best meals are always when he is in town. Otherwise I am a cereal for dinner kinda girl.
