Now the polish
butter american apparel
This is Butter from American Apparel's new summer color line. They retail for $6 a piece or $15 for 3 or if you go to the location higher up on Newbury towards the park, they are pulling a big ol scam of charging $7.50 or 3 for $18. Just a FEW BLOCK DOWN on the other Newbury st location closer to Mass ave (yes 2 on the same street) it is the correct price of $6. I was SO MAD when I discovered that this weekend. I hate that location. The staff as so damn nasty, snub you and are put out if you ask them a question. They also give you nasty looks when you come out of the dressing room. I refuse to go to that location after that price discovery. The staff at the other location are SO much nicer. Miles nicer. The polish? right. It is nice and opaque coverage at two coats, heck it almost opaque at one coat. Because it is a light pastel with no shimmer, I find it is harder to apply and look nice. Metallic and shimmers are much more forgiving. Dave actually picked this one up and surprised me with it and 2 more colors you will be seeing over the week. I can tell you now they are GORGEOUS. I really dig this color because it really is the color of butter which I find to be such a soothing color. I have tried yellow polish previously it was more school bus color and I felt too old in it. It made me feel like a gripster. (My friend coined that phase and even submitted to urban dictionary)

Oooh, "soothing" is the perfect word to describe the color of butter! And now I SO want that polish.

And I LOVE, L-O-V-E the picture of you popping up your skirt! So cute.

Way cute outfit. I agree with Clare: the pick of you showing your double skirt strength is super cute. And those shoes!!!

I don't know why, but I think you're tall. I guess compared to me at 5'1" you are tall . . . but maybe it's your good posture but you always look tall and poised in your pictures.

I also never knew that princess sleeve was the correct term for those kind of sleeves. I always referred to them as the "pouffy but not like 80s pouffy" sleeves. You really do learn something new everyday!

Is it nerdy that I'm stalking your posts and scrolling to see if/when you break out my favorite sandals?

CLo a little. Ha. Only because I don't know what my favorite ones are let alone yours! It isn't warm enough here for sandals.

You are a bad influence. I saw the lead pic in my Google Reader a few hours ago. Then I went and bought a similar skirt. I'd forgotten why until I came back to Google Reader and saw your post again. Gah! So cute!
