I can be your baby doll, I can be your doll baby

Ahem. I love that lyric. You know how when your parents call you a nickname and you think they invented it just for you? My mom has called me Dollbaby all my life. (along with Lucy followed a close second with Matilda) (oh and never Hillary) I kinda thought she invented it just for me. I was kinda dumbfounded when I learned that other people used the phrase (we are talking about when I was like 9) When the Soul Coughing song came out with St. Louise I secretly thought it was about me. (I do that often I have a whole list of songs that HAD to be written about me)

The point? yes the point. There were these ADORABLE Japanese tourists at the counter when I was getting my brows done last night. A couple of them tried on Benetint and they looked like absolute dolls. When they left the girl doing my makeup said "Don't you want to pinch them?" they all had gorgeous rosy cheeks from the Benetint. I said DO THAT TO ME. I wanted to look like a doll. I went with Posie Tint because it actually showed up better on my fair skin. The Benetint was too dark it didn't pop on my skin. The posie is hot pink so it worked out well. I love that "I just went sledding and came inside and look how cute and pink my cheeks are" look.

I told a few people on Twitter that I had ordered a charm for my Pandora bracelet on Etsy and I said I would take pictures. I started mine March 2006. They all have a little meaning. I don't like to get them just to add to it. They have to speak to me. (I am DEEP)

Full bracelet.

And here is my breakfast
photo.jpg
I haven't been feeling well for awhile now and a few specialist later NOTHING has been solved so I am going to try and eat things that do things. Yogurt for good tummy bacteria. (who thinks of this when they hear the word yogurt?) Honey for my sinuses. (My old allergist prescribed a spoonful of honey a day for me)
Yes I am still allergic to dairy but this hasn't been a problem. I won't question it and just go with it.

Any songs you are convinced are about you?

i actually managed to become friends with one of my favorite bands (2 Skinnee J's) several years before they wrote this song, but in "Sugar and Candy" there is a line that says "Her dad ran away with Samantha, the middle-aged exotic dancer..."
now, im not middle-aged, nor am i an exotic dancer, but i AM samantha, so i have since decided thats my song. they even tend to find me out in the crowd and sing to me when they know im there. :)

I am songless, but there are tons of Irish and Gaelic poems about "Erin" (a.k.a. Ireland)- mainly stuff about "rolling hills," which is good when describing a country, but not a person. I think I'm just gonna have to write my own darn song.

The PosieTint is PERFECTION on you!! I saw it when it first came out, but knew instantly it wouldn't work on me (I am a Benetint gal.), but on you- it's so fresh and lovely!! The last close-up photo of you is really, really pretty!

Okay, and one last thing, RE: Yogurt and Honey. Yes to good bacteria (acidophalus- sp? is also a supplement you can take which is the same kind of thing) and yes to honey for allergies (if you can find LOCAL honey, it's even better than regular honey because it's the bees' honey from your area so it's specialized for your allergies). That's the kind of smarts you get from working at Whole Foods for 4 months when you first move to a new town. :)

ooooh yogurt with honey ATTACHED?! genius!

I mean, I totally noticed your outfit in all it's glory first, but for real that yogurt just completed my world. Speaking of glory... that scarf looks like it was hand picked for you and your skin tone/hair color. It is amazing!

(oooh maybe that's why they chose it to send you?? I want that job... picking out stuff to send to bloggers.)

hillary said...

Chelsea I didn't get it because of my blog. I got it because I am in the Lucky Alpha Shopper program. I think they picked me because I won a contest last year. They sent the same one to all 100 of us. But it does appear it was made for me. I am vain like that. They were the ones who sent me the lipgloss too. They want us to try stuff and post over at Lucky. I put one up there yesterday actually.

I have yet to have any offers for free stuff for my blog. None. BOO 8 years I've had byhillary. That flat iron? I totally contacted them and they offered up the giveaway.

lol........glib.

You look amazing today. You wear white well.

So my parents are super conservative Christians and my dad is actually a musician. So we had lots of Christian music in the house. There was this song called "oh Wind" that my dad convinced me was actually "oh Winnie" which was my childhood nickname. So........I actually thought thats what it was and that it was about me. That's about it though.

I don't wear white often. I have 3 things.

I love that scarf! It does look like it was made for you :D

When I was little the insurance man used to sing "sally walking down the alley" to me and I thought he had made that up from me - I didn't know it was from Oliver at the time!!!

Two of mine are.

I really like the shirt+scarf combo, and that blush is so great on you! It looks really natural like you said - just like you were playing outside or something.

Sorry you aren't feeling well!

As far as songs...Hmmmm I'd have to think about it. There are certain lines of songs that I see myself in, but I can't think of a whole song!

Work With What You've Got said...

Well yes. There is. My husband wrote a song about me so I know for a FACT it is about me.

I am now going to try that yogurt.

Oh! And I love rosy cheeks I might go back to that look after seeing it on you. (You might have noticed I dont really change up my make-up that much. I either do or do not put on eyeshadow and sometimes I change my gloss, but other than that it's the same thing every day. I used to be adventurous, but I got lazy I guess)

I didn't realize that's the way you're supposed to get the honey or fruit out of the dang container...I'm such a freaking moron! I've been scooping it out, which works, but you don't ever get the stuff on the bottom...omg...seriously, what a dumbass!
I commented last time you wore the scarf and it is lovely along w/the shirt...love!

You changed your hair? looks great.

Yogurt looks great (i hate that I can't find that brand except in speciality stores).

My song: Baby Got Back (Oh My God Becky,Look at Her Butt)

Bam yeah! Woooot! So glad your back

To everyone who can't find the Fage yogurt. Two things. I can't find it here either BUT most stores will carry things if you just ask. As a celiac you ask often! They almost always do.
And you know where I buy my Fage? TARGET they have it in the cold case! It's only 1.29 there it's 2.50 by my house at the market.

I love this outfit. Truly stunning. Pale and pretty alone, sophisticated with the jacket.

My song... oh I have so many. Just for me? Not a one, but when I'm feeling a bit bitchy, "The Beast" by Concrete Blonde gets me rocking every time!

*smiles*
