Alice in Wonderland polish REVIEW

I had been keeping my eyes peeled on the lookout for the OPI series of Alice in Wonderland polishes. I accidented upon them this weekend in a store I went in for a totally different purpose. On the OPI site if you use the drop down you can pick to see the Alice collection (darn flash site you can't link to)

I bought Mad as a Hatter. It is a funky glitter with lot of colors but purple sparkles more than any other color.

When applying I would suggest loading up the brush and laying it on thickly. That is how you get the good glitter coverage. If not only a few glitters stick to your nails and you'd have to do a ton of coats. I put a top coat on mine at the end. They came out looking good but glitter is notoriously hard to capture on camera.

The downside? When glitter chips it chips in big chunks. Also it is NOTORIOUSLY hard to remove it takes some elbow grease and a bit of soaking to get it off. But I think it is worth it for the fun factor.

I really love the color mixture in this one! So many glitter polishes are "just silver" or "just gold." This is super fun- but I know exactly what you mean about hard to remove glitter polish. You look dazzling! :)

A friend of mine gave me a bottle of that yesterday. I haven't had time to apply yet, but probably will tonight. How timely!

I have a polish remover related question. What do you use for it? Do you use something different if you need to soak? I have noticed some of the removers (even the non-acetone ones) seem more harsher than the others.

I guess I am not sure what you are asking? What do I use for remover? Plan ol acetone polish remover. I have a nonacetone one if my hands are wicked dry.

do you think I would be able to get these at my local salon? I want the Absolutely Alice one, I have an addiction to blue nail polish. It's just that I live in a small town and my salon isn't part of a chain or anything. -Adeline

I'd give them a call. If not you can get it on Amazon!

I really enjoy your blog. With all your cute nail pictures, you inspired me to start painting my nails again. I had not been painting them because I work in a lab and was afraid I'd just accidentally wash the polish off with some of the solvents I use every day. After seeing all the cute and nice looking things you do with your nails I decided to give it a go again. Thanks!

karlee that's awesome. I like having color on me. That and I've had my nails painted my entire life. I was that little kid begging my mom to paint mine. I have pics of me at 4 with pink nails.
