High points of 2009

I tend to dwell on the negative and things like "what did I NOT accomplish this year" But 2010 will be different. I am going to ring it in with a list of some of the highlights of good things that happened or I accomplished in 2009.

I was turned into a painting by Cali Pop Artist Neal Breton

I won the Lucky Magazine Style Spotter Contest in February (I MAY of emailed everyone I knew asking to vote for me once I learned it was a viewer voting thing. Note to self. Read description before you enter things!)
I entered a contest

I went to Disney World
I think we have our christmas card

Besame Cosmetics linked to my review on their corporate site. (I was the first one they posted!)

I got a kitten, Waffle!!

I took some great photos

staff meetings would go differently if I stood on the table....49/365

What was a highpoint of the year for you?

My biggest accomplishment for 2009: I finally graduated from a college - not the 1st choice or even 30th, not the 1st college I attended, but it's a BS (total Bull S*) degree that is completely useless in the real world and I'm being forced to go to graduation on Sunday (Yes, this Sunday in the cold in a baseball stadium minus the baseball, beer or hotdogs)...but it's done. It only took me 20 years to complete (well, I did take a few yrs off), but it's done.

Love this post!! Here's to being positive!

Highpoint - beating out 50 other applicants for a new job and absolutely adoring it! Better yet in my review on Wednesday my boss told me I was phenomenal and I got a sweet bonus in a time where many companies are getting tighter by the day.

Kimberly that is awesome!!! I am sosos proud of you. When you lost your job last year I was so praying you'd find something and not only did you in an instant you kick interview ass!!!!!

Dave got a months pay bonus last year and this year we are getting NOTHING. I am such a jerk I was kinda counting on it spending it in my head already.

Textqueen. That is sooo soo awesome you should totally be proud of yourself! Graduating is amazing no matter how long it takes! You did it! Who cares about the details! My husband went to 5 schools so I get ya!

shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I am kinda embarrassed to tell people about it.

I love this post! Love it! The high points of my year were getting engaged to an amazing man who is able to balance seeing through and putting up with my bullshit, giving a toast at my best friend's wedding, and getting hired for a one year position at an amazing liberal arts institution.

Love that painting and all of your great pictures! Here's to a wonderful 2010.

The highlights of my year have been: finally getting off my butt and doing the jewelry thing, seeing the progress my kids have made in lots of areas, and even starting my own blog has been fun!

shop kim that is something to be proud of! I had an etsy until last week. I let it timeout because after a year there just was no interest in my stuff.

La Historiadora de Moda A man like that is a keeper!

I love that picture of you laying on the floor with your ring--is that a homage to Lord of the Rings?

My 2009 High Points:

1. I did a fashion experiment similar to idea of 1 dress 365 days. I bought 3 pairs of pants and 3 pairs of skirts in black, navy, and grey. I wear one of those bottoms every day with a different top & accessoris. It is working out better than I hoped.

2. I found some really cool blogs, like yours, Wendyista (gossip), and My Mom Fashion Icon.

3. My 4-year-old and my 2-year-old adjusted supremely well to my 4-year-old going to preschool. I'm still not fully adjusted. Oh, my baby is growing up!

Brooklyn It was an homage to lord of the rings. It was for a photography group I belong to and that was the days topic.

I don't know what I am going to be like with children I can't handle the kitten growing up so you my hat is off to you!

Wow. You really did take some great photos. Good stuff.

In 2009 I bought my first house, started grad school (for the second time), turned 30, had tons of work done on the new house, wrote four research papers, took the hardest theory class of my degree program, learned how to sew, sewed half of my first RenFaire costume and some excellent drapes, and just recently interviewed for a promotion at my office, and was informed on Friday that I got it.

2009 has been HUGE.
