Dress Target I took the belt off because it felt too high today. It was on my ribs. My ribs said NO PLEASE.

Necklace bday present from Megan! I wanted a locket ALL MY LIFE but no one would get me one. Well who needs family when you got a Megan? I put wedding photos in it because they were already printed on sticker paper but I think I want to put my girls Waffle and Daisyboo in it instead. I don't need a pic of me!

My weekend was eh. Family likes to ride me. HARD. If I say anything about it, I get "Oh Hillree" and are worse. As if I showed a moment of weakness and the pack attacked. But if I say anything even remotely not nice I get in trouble. Blargh. Whatever. I don't care. I don't. I did. I try not to now. It is what it is, as my dad tells me.
I am not religious. I don't have issues with it I just wasn't raised in or welcome to the church, so it just isn't something I am about. BUT the prayer card they gave out at my uncle's funeral had a life moving prayer on it. You all may of heard it. I know I have but it was at this moment in my life I was meant to read it again.
Grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.
Seriously! It is what it is! I will worry about things I have in my control and let the rest go. That is my goal for my 32nd year. (I turn 31 tomorrow. So yes I already lived though 31. Friend clued me in on that thinking)

I spent most of yesterday snuggling with Waffle. She is getting SO BIG I am getting in all the under the cover naps I can while she will let me. I just grab her pull her up onto my chest and pull the covers over her and she dozes off.
My kitteh
She is hell on wheels most the time but when she is good, she is great. Just don't look at the 5 GIANT scratches on my arms from her using me to do skateboard tricks. My dad saw the giant one on my hand this weekend and he says "let me guess Waffle?" and laughed.

What did you do this weekend?
any good meals??

It is what it is, man. That's something I've really really really been trying to live by lately, and, honestly, I think it's only been the last year or two that I'm getting somewhat good at it. I'm still not there yet but getting there.

Is it just me or is your make up technique just getting better and better? Seriously, it's perfect. You're getting so good a picking colors and making it look flawless. Bravo. :)

On Saturday, I went to my son's soccer game and then I came home and cleaned my house within an inch of it's life. Like pulled-out-all-the-furniture-and-cleaned-dustbunnies kind of cleaning. I love cleaning so this was a fun Saturday for me. My kitchen sink is so clean I just stood and stared at it for longer than is probably mentally healthy.

Yesterday, did nothing all morning and then I started rehearsals for a play I'm working on.

The end.

I agree. What a funky, badass locket. Who knew such a thing existed?

So sorry your family rode you like that. I'm one of those people who believes that family members need to be kind and considerate to each other, and get no free passes for being related. Be nice or go home.

First off, my sympathies go out to you on the loss of your uncle.

I worked Saturday, then I went home and watched the wonderfully awful G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra. My husband and I were laughing our butts off at how bad it was but it was also very entertaining. While we watched the movie on the computer, my 2 year old and 4 year old girls played with their Barbie and faux-Barbie dolls in the background. (OOO, I hate those little shoes, though.) I also bought a rotissiere chicken from the supermarket, and my family killed it. We ate the whole thing it was so tasty.

Sunday was bit leisurely. We all slept to about 10 a.m. and I plopped down on the couch to watch Lifetime movies until it was time to serve the girls lunch. I braided my oldest daughter's hair, washed the dishes, took a nap, gave myself a mani-pedi, watched Mad Men, and zonked out. I also baked some chicken legs, and boiled pasta for my lunch this week.

The locket is fantastic! Hopefully good feelings from that equaled out negative familial feelings.

Family is tough. I don't know what else to say.

This weekend we went to a greek fest, which was really just drinking greek wine & eating greek food in a parking lot. With a bajillion people. It was not at all what I expected, but still turned out well (probably due to the wine, teehee)

Saturday was super boring baby shower. Really, those things are brutal. I've only been to a couple, but am starting to dread them. I don't know most people and this one had no games and no booze. It was just polite conversation and eating appetizers. pass.

Sunday was Dynamo soccer game and crafts! The crafts were fun, i'll post pics soon...

have a GRRRREAT day tomorrow!

That looks like a nice dress. And your hair...I have major hair envy.

We saw a band called The Horrors on Friday. Awesome. But my dinner was just an apple with peanut butter. Not very inspired. Saturday, however, we ate at my favorite restaurant before going to see a wonderful dance company called The Trey McIntyre Project. Amazing dancers.

Just found your blog a few days ago and I like it!

Here I am, sitting at my desk, munching on my lunch and reading my reader. And what do I see? You, wearing almost exactly the same thing yesterday that I am wearing today. I have on that dress and a purple cardigan. I almost fell out of my chair. I think it goes without saying that I like this look on you. ha! :)

I'm in love with that dress, I love plaid gray dresses for fall. Super cute. Also amazing, the kitten. I'm jealous my dorm doesn't allow pets :-(.
