And so it begins

I send my husband flowers to work more often then I should. He gets annoyed because he embarrasses easily. I get the "Boys send flowers, Girls don't" speech.
To which I saiy "Anytime"

So today for the first time he did.

Don't get me wrong he buys flowers for me but I never got them at work from him. (Megan hold the honor of sending me my first arrangement at work when I went through an... ahem... breakup)

Then I got a text message from the kitten claiming she sent them. heee. I love my husband and girls.

I talk a good game about how I don't need or want flowers and I mean it when I say it Then I get them and I get gooey.

Awww that's sweet. I like that you send him flowers at work. I think everybody loves getting flowers whether they're willing to admit it or not.

They're gorgeous!

I totally melt when I get flowers. Secretly I wish BF would bring me some sometime. An ex was amazing at sending flowers - he even sent me a live plant once and asked the flower guy to drop it off at a very specific time, which was about 1 hour before my ex got to my place on a Friday night, and the note said "I'll be there soon!" - the plant has outlived the relationship by years, which is interesting because I'm notoriously awful at keeping plants alive.

I would like to point out that sending it an hour ahead of time with that note was getting into the "it's so mushy I want to barf and almost wish he hadn't done it" category, but I guess the fact that I remember it years later (when I don't remember many specifics about any other flowers he sent me) counts for something.

My hubby has rarely given me flowers, and I mean rarely with a capital R. And he has never had flowers sent to my job. We've been together since 1992. In May of 2007, he sent a bouquet daisies to my job out of the blue. I call them the conception flowers because a month later I find out I'm pregnant with our biological daughter although I wasn't supposed to be able to get pregnant without medication. We have two children and I like it that way, so I told him no more flowers. lol.
