Labor Day Weekend

I had a four day weekend this year. I took Friday off so Dave and I could have a nice long weekend before he went back to school on Tuesday (today).

On Friday we drove up to get Fried Clams and Chicken at Woodmans. It is about 45 minutes north of the city. We then went to a mall! Crazy I know. Its not something city folk get to do often. I got dave two pairs of back to school shoes. (see talked him into) I got a winter hat and I tried on Ray Bans to make sure they fit my face and I still loved them as much as I did in my head. I still do!

They actually fit my head really well considering I have such a large melon.
(note the lovely sensor tag)

Saturday we went bowling and my in laws came to visit at dinner time.

I didn't do this on purpose but it was pretty hilarious. We both knew he kicked my ass
I swear I didn't do that on purpose
We had to call it at 3 games my bad wrist was acting up something fierce. Then winner had to buy loser a cupcakes. I got vegam pumpkin with cinnamon frosting. OMG was it good.
Sunday we went for a drive up to Maine. Played a little skeeball and got our last Hawaiian Ice for the season.

I also got the new shoes in NH I was wearing in today's earlier post.

Monday we cleaned, cleaned, cleaned and I donated all the stuff in today's earlier post. We ended the day with Organic Gluten Free pineapple and bacon pizza. OMG IS IT SO GOOD. More cupcakes were purchased too. (shhh we won't get to once he starts school)

In between there was copious Angel watching. (at least 3 DVDs worth and 2 DVDs of Pushing Daisies. Dave also finished my blog redesign and ordered me business cards.

Last night we also got to sleep in our bed for the first time in MONTHS! The kitten had never seen it! We don't have windows in our bedroom and it gets too hot in the summer and we sleep on a pull out sofa in front of the window AC unit.

Now my husband will be too busy to do anything until May. Le Sigh, the life of a to be architect's wife.

What did you do this lovely long weekend?

I ate ice cream, enjoyed the outdoors, and spent money that I didn't have. My fiance's a law student, so I understand where you're at.

Your weekend looks so fun!

It was a pretty good weekend here - went to a cookout at my uncle's farm and an amusement park!

That does sound like a good weekend! I mostly watched movies, but I did other stuff too.

I got a Paula Deen cookbook from the library and cooked up a fierce meal last night. She can be SOOO annoying, but the food was tasty.

The best part of the weekend was when I pulled out my rollerskates on Saturday. I stink and I think that gave me a hard workout in between giggles. I'll take pics next time and do a post about the skates....they were fun!

Went to a new bar w/ new friends Friday night. It had an awesome speak-easy vibe to it.

Saturday, I babysat my roomie's boyfriend while he painted her bedroom as a surprise while she was at work. Then had a lady's night with said roomie and another friend and watched Lady and the Tramp and ate spaghetti.

Sunday I went into Manhattan for brunch with a guy friend who I only brunch with...it's our thing. Then napped copiously. Then cleaned out my closet!

Monday, we had a sort of impromptu cookout and ended up having like 15 people come over! It was a lot of fun and a great mix of new and "old" friends!

Now I'm at work. Boo.

Looks like you had a fun weekend, too!
