Husband and I went to Target last night (its an even involving renting a car) and I fell in love with this belt. I NEEDED a brown belt I didn't even have one and this one just yelled at me from the rack. I believe Jessica S has one like it if not this one. I like the look of a very wide belt on me. I tell myself it balances out the ladies.

So I am thinking about growing my natural color out. Its been 15 years that I have dyed my hair. I am not sure what is under there anymore. Its about 3/4 inch now and all I know is its growing out VERY light it even looks like it has a bit of blonde in it. (nooo not grey. its like strawberry blondeish) The hardest part is when it gets long enough that its halfway down my bangs and I start to look skunklike. It is not cute. Also my hair grows SO SLOW its a very long and painful process.

Today is gonna be a good day. You know how I know it? It started out with this beauty.

Did you know it was National Donut Day? Below is an email from a coworker. She also brought in homemade donuts from a local bakery where she lives. You will never had a better donut in your life I swear! Oh and I say Donut as I live in the town where Dunkin Donuts started so its physically impossible for me to spell it out!

National Doughnut Day

When : Always the first Friday in June
National Doughnut Day honors the Salvation Army "Lassies" of WWI. It is also used as a fund raiser for needy causes of the Salvation Army.
The original Salvation Army Doughnut was first served by Salvation Army in 1917. During WWI, Salvation Army "lassies" were sent to the front lines of Europe. These brave volunteers made home cooked foods, and provided a moral boost to the troops. Often, the doughnuts were cooked in oil inside the of the metal helmet of an American soldier. The American infantrymen were commonly called doughboys. Salvation Army lassies were the only women outside of military personnel allowed to visit the front lines. Lt. Colonel Helen Purviance is considered the Salvation Army's "first doughnut girl".
On National Doughnut Day, look to see if your local doughnut shop, or other organizations, are offering free donuts to solicit donations for the Salvation Army or for another needy cause. If you find them, please be generous.
Note: The word "Doughnut" is often shortened to "Donut. So, if you see the term National Donut Day, its the same day.

The Origin of National Doughnut Day:
National Doughnut Day was established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to raise much-needed funds during the Great Depression, and to honor the work of World War I Salvation Army volunteers who prepared doughnuts and other foods for thousands of soldiers.

What did you have for breakfast today?

I had no idea Nat'l Donut Day had actual, historic origins! Very cool. Donuts give me heartburn, so I'll be celebrating in spirit.

Have I told you yet that the first time I saw that necklace in a post, I thought it was a real tattoo? And I have FIVE TATTOOS and should know better. ;)

haaaaaaaaa this donut gave me heartburn!!! Ugh I feel like ick.

Thats the "goal" of the necklace. She makes a bunch of different ones. My mom is getting one. I do have a tattoo but I don't think I will ever post it on the interwebs.

I am going to head out to Target later today and find your belt, it is great! On the way, I must have a doughnut now that i've seen your..lol Also want to comment on the tattoo necklace... I 've been wanting to get a tatoo (in my 40's!!!) my husband thinks I am insane, so maybe a necklace like this would be a compromise.

I didn't have a donut for breakfast; however I had two red velvet mini cupcakes...my only justification for this is that I had a looong week! I love wide belts and I am coveting yours! I agree with you about it balancing out "the girls"-great for balancing proportions!
